CARACTÉRISTIQUES PHYSIQUES:
Couleur - rose pâle.
Éclat - vitreux.
Transparence - transparent.
Système cristallin - hexagonal, P6/mcc.
Morphologie -médiocres cristaux prismatiques striés.
Clivage - non apparent.
Cassure - (??).
Dureté - 5½ - 6½.
Densité - 2,75 g/cm3.
Trait - blanc.
Associations minérales - pectolite, polylithionite, poudretteite et quartz.
Autres propriétés - aucunes.
Étymologie - nommée en 1976, d'après Ken-ichi Sugi (1901-1948), pétrographe Japonais qui a découvert l'espèce en 1944.
