La reederite-(Y), anciennement UK # 102, est extrêmement rare au mont Saint-Hilaire. Il n'existe juste que quelques milligrammes de matériel.

Transparence - transparent à translucide.
Système cristallin - hexagonal, P6.
Morphologie - grains grossiers jusqu'à 2 mm de diamètre.
Clivage - {001} parfait.
Cassure - conchoïdale.
Dureté - 3 - 3½.
Densité - 2,85 g/cm3.
Trait - blanc.
Associations minérales - analcime, catapléite, manganotychite, petersenite, shortite et trona.
Autres propriétés - aucunes.
Étymologie - nommée en 1995, d'après Richard J. Reeder, professeur Américain de géologie.
